The Untraditional Tuna & Swiss Sandwich

2 cans | 2 cans | Ocean's Flaked Light Tuna (184g or 170 g), drained |
160 ml | 2/3 cup | Swiss or Jarlsberg cheese, grated |
60 ml | 1/4 cup | Chopped onion |
75 ml | 1/3 cup | Mayonnaise |
| | Salt and pepper to taste |
40 ml | 3 tbsp | Soft butter or margarine |
8 | 8 | Slices of bread |
Chef's Tips
Mozzarella can be substituted in this recipe.
Flavoured breads heighten this recipe's impact.
A little chopped celery will add some crunch.
Directions
- In a bowl, mix tuna, cheese, onion and mayonnaise together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Butter bread and spread 1/2 cup filling inside each sandwich. Grill at medium heat until toasted and light brown. Serve with fries or nachos.
