Being plastic neutral means that for any amount of plastic we use in our operations, a measured equivalent of plastic waste is recovered and removed from the environment through recycling and/or waste management efforts.

Ocean’s chose to work with Cleanhub, a company that collects and repurposes plastic before it enters the ocean. Through Cleanhub, Ocean’s partnered with Tridi Oasis in 2021 and 2022, a female-led company. The company’s founders, Dian and Dinda grew Tridi into a company that employs around 100 people and recycles 750 metric tonnes of plastic bottles a month.
From 2023-2024, Ocean’s partnered with ecoBali, another one of CleanHub’s collection partners that champions plastic waste management and recycling. Founded in 2006, ecoBali provides a waste collection and recycling service that is based on waste separation at the source. To date, ecoBali has successfully managed over 5000 tonnes of ocean-bound waste.
Beginning January 2025, we will be expanding our impact across different continents with the Clean Global initiative. This partnership allows us to prevent ocean-bound plastic waste while supporting local communities in the regions most affected.
Ocean Brands is once again Plastic Neutral+ in 2024 and collected more ocean-bound plastic than the amount of plastic used in our own operations. It is our ongoing commitment to be plastic neutral at minimum, but will continue to strive to be Plastic Neutral+. It is also an ongoing focus to look for ways to further reduce our plastic usage.
Ocean Brands is committed to preserving the health of our oceans for future generations. We work with our suppliers to ensure that all our seafood is sourced sustainably. We also work with partner organizations that help keep our oceans clean.
Boat to plate traceability of seafood is central to preventing overfishing and illegal fishing. To contribute, we can work together to prevent overfishing by eliminating markets for seafood that is not traceable and likely caught illegally or with forced labour. In conjunction with our suppliers, we have verification of catch for all products. Customers can contact us directly for traceability information on any of our seafood products.
Currently, a majority of our products are sustainably sourced, and we aspire to achieve our fully sustainable sourcing goals by 2025.

With a growing network of partners, Cleanhub collects and repurposes plastic before it enters the world’s oceans. By calculating their plastic footprint and paying for the equivalent to be collected, sustainable brands like Ocean’s support Cleanhub’s mission to protect and preserve our oceans.
Globally, 91% of plastic waste does not get recycled. Non-recyclable items such as plastic bags, wrappers, and food containers end up in the environment because it is too expensive to treat them. Cleanhub steps in to collect these items and turn them into something with value. They get repurposed as an energy source.
Cleanhub uses software to monitor, track and verify how much waste is recovered by their collection partners. Partners report plastic waste collection through an app that also connects them to a curated network of safe treatment facilities. Through this digital platform, Cleanhub can guarantee that all parties involved have collected and treated the plastic waste as promised.

An international non-profit organization, the Marine Stewardship Council is on a mission to protect our oceans and seafood supply. Working with fisheries, scientists, and seafood industry stakeholders, MSC ensures that our oceans are fished responsibly and that you, the consumer, can easily find seafood that is certified sustainable.
Only seafood that meets three key criteria earns MSC certification:
So, when you see the MSC blue fish label on your favourite seafood, like many of our Ocean’s products, you can rest assured that it was caught wild using sustainable fishing methods and is traceable from ocean to table. By choosing products with this label, you are directly supporting fisheries that take care of our oceans.

Ocean Wise is a conservation program that educates and empowers consumers about the issues surrounding sustainable seafood.
Did you know: approximately 85% of the world’s fish stocks are overfished or fully exploited?
Overfishing is the greatest threat to our oceans today. When you see the Ocean Wise symbol next to a seafood item it’s your assurance of an ocean-friendly choice. Sustainable options are species that are caught or farmed in ways that ensure the long-term health and stability of that species, as well as the greater marine ecosystem.
The program uses four criteria when recommending a species:
It’s not too late to take action to protect our oceans and Ocean Brands is committed to continually improving our seafood sourcing. Look for the Ocean Wise symbol on our products, your assurance of an ocean friendly choice.

Committed to driving solutions for the problem of lost, abandoned, and discarded fishing gear, the Global Ghost Gear Initiative (GGGI) is the world’s largest cross-stakeholder alliance of its kind.
Launched in 2015, GGGI brings together members of the fishing industry, private sector, academia, governments, intergovernmental organizations, and non-governmental organizations to tackle the problem of ghost fishing gear, the most harmful form of marine debris. Each participant, including Ocean’s, plays a critical role in mitigating the effects of ghost gear on a local, regional, and global level.
